Federal Police said that will monitor illegal companies at Brazil
A group of Eastern businesspeople is accused of defaulting on a Brazilian company after deciding to abandon plans to operate sports betting legally in the country. Initially hired to support the brand’s accreditation, the company was caught off guard when the group withdrew from entering the legal Brazilian market.
According to a source, the company Boo Game, represented in Brazil by Ipanema, had sought a firm to assist in accrediting the brand in the Brazilian market. However, Ipanema later claimed it was no longer interested in operating and decided to withdraw from the legalization process.
The reason? They wish to continue in the illegal Brazilian market. In addition to not complying with national regulations, Ipanema allegedly left a debt of R$140,000 with the contracted company.
The source also stated that multiple attempts were made to settle the outstanding balance, but “no success” was achieved in receiving the pending payment.
Who is Boo Game?
Boo Game is a company based in Hong Kong and was being represented by Ipanema in Brazil. The news team accessed the company’s documents and identified its Singaporean partners, Yuanhai Chen, 41, and Liangchun Chen. Additionally, the team obtained the foreigners’ documents, including phone numbers and passports, confirming their identities.
In Brazil, the company is represented by lawyer Antonio Carlos Flack Macedo, a resident of the Eunice neighborhood in the city of Cachoeirinha, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The news team attempted to contact the lawyer via phone but received no response. We are continuing efforts to reach the professional to understand the Brazilian branch’s stance on the case.
The news team also contacted the Ministry of Finance to determine whether the company is on the list of entities blocked by the Federal Government. The ministry stated that it is reviewing the company’s information to assess the possibility of legal action against the brand.
When questioned, the Federal Police stated that they monitor the accreditation process of companies in the country and, if any irregularities are found, will take the necessary legal measures.
